People around the globe are in search of anything and everything that can bring a little tranquility and relaxation into a hectic world. The popularity of fountains for both indoor and outdoor use has sky rocketed in the last few years, perhaps to answer our need to create our own little oasis. A tabletop fountain is a wonderful way to bring the refreshing enjoyment of the outdoors inside. There are many different accessories that you can add to your fountain in order to obtain the exact look and feel that you want to achieve. There are lights, which give a nice soft glow and enhance the shine of the water. Misters can give your fountain a whole new look and feel that can be mysterious yet fascinating at the same time. Some of the fountain misters make it possible to add essential oils which can produce a wonderful calm and soothing, fragrant atmosphere anywhere.
How they work
Most table top options have a re-circulating pump. In general, there is a reservoir in which the pump is placed and re-circulates the water to the top of the fountain, where it runs down the fountain and back through the pump. Most all tabletop models need to have water added to them weekly in order to maintain the correct water level. Of course the humidity in the air can cause different water level balances. You’ll always want to make sure that your fountain has plenty of water in it so you don’t burn out the pump.
